About Охрид

Охрид је град у Северној Македонији, на североисточној обали Охридског језера и средиште истоимене општине. Охридска општина се састоји од града Охрида и још 28 села који заједно имају око 52.000 становника. Лежи у дну Охридског поља, на осамљеној вапненачкој хриди, која ртасто залази и високо се диже изнад Охридског језера. По таквом положају на хриди дошло је словенско име Охрид. Од 1980. године су Охрид и Охридско језеро на списку светских баштина УНЕСКО-а.
